Oakland Heads To Kent State With Playoff Implications On The Line

Matchup: Oakland (11-12-1, 3-5-0) heads to Kent State (16-10-0, 6-6-1)  this weekend for a conference matchup against the Kent State Golden Flashes.

All-Time Series: Oakland is 16-5-0 all-time against the Golden Flashes. Kent State swept last years series at the ONYX.

Scouting Oakland:  Up front Keegan Nolan has scored 12 goals and added eight assists. Forward Luke Mackin has eight goals and 14 points, while forward Nic Fernandez has eight goals and an assist. On defense Danny Scorzo has scored one goal and added five assists. Defenseman Tyler Simon comes into the weekend scoring three goals with nine assist. In net Ian Dvorak (5-5-0) has a 3.18 goals against average and a save percentage of 90%

Scouting Kent State: The Golden Flashes feature of the GLCHL's most dangerous forwards in Jonathon Buttitta with 24 goals and 36 assists. Forward Sean Moore has 13 goals and 43 assists while forward Chance Taylor has scored 11 goals. On defense Michael Sullivan leads the way with five goals and 15 assists. Defenseman Justin Bioni has 14 points. In net Alex Okicki (10-2-0) has a 2.40 goals against average and a save percentage of 92%

GLCHL Playoff Picture: The top six teams qualify for conference playoffs. Oakland with nine points, is tied for the last playoff spot with Calvin and Eastern Michigan. Kent State is in third place with 16 points. Games are worth 3 points each for a regulation win.
