Goalie Joshua Pack Commits to Oakland

Oakland Hockey general manager Corey Hagood, has announced that goalie Joshua Pack has committed to Oakland.

"I made the decision to continue my hockey career at Oakland University because they have great academics and also a great hockey program." Pack stated. "I want to be able to lead the team to some championships in these next four years."

While at Oakland, Pack will be studying Business.

He comes to Oakland from the Oakland Jr Grizzlies (HPHL). Last season, Pack went 19-10-0 with a 2.10 goals against average. Pack, also recorded four shutouts for the Jr. Grizzlies. 

Before the Jr. Grizzlies, Pack played for Belle Tire (T1EHL U18) and Compuware (HPHL U16).

"I am a butterfly goalie that never quits." Pack stated. "I will do everything I can to give the team a chance to win every single night."

Pack, is excited to play for new Oakland head coach Nick Field, and his first impression of was Field's passion to win. "Coach Field seems to be a coach that will be a lot of fun to play for.' Pack stated. "While not sacrificing the want and the need to win."

Oakland opens the season Friday, September 28th at the ONYX against Duquesne.
