Defenseman Danny Scorzo Commits To Oakland

First Recruit In The Field Era

Rochester, MI- Oakland Hockey head coach Nick Field has his first recruit. Defenseman Danny Scorzo has committed to Oakland.

"I’m excited to attend Oakland University" Scorzo said.

Last season Scorzo played for Victory Honda U18 (T1EHL U18) where he recorded three goals and three assists. 

While at Oakland, Scorzo will major in accounting. "I plan on majoring in accounting and also have the opportunity to play hockey at the ACHA Division One level."

As a puck moving defenseman, Scorzo should add to the Oakland blueline with his competitive nature. "I’m a very competitive player that attacks the puck, tries to win every battle, and hates to lose." Scorzo stated.

He will be looking to not only play well defensively but to help generate offense for Oakland this coming season. "I’m an offensive defenseman that plays solid on defense and also likes to move the puck forward along with jumping into the play when appropriate." Scorzo concluded with.
