Scouting Oakland: The Golden Grizzlies will have 13 freshmen debuting this weekend. Up front top six forward Nic Fernandez returns for another season. Newcomers Jeffrey Schmidt, Conner Smigielski, Corey Schultheis and Devin Knepp will be looking to make an immediate impact.  Oakland returns two top defense in Matthew Moretuzzo and Cory Schwartz. They will be getting helo for newcomers Keith Pilut and Shane Bentley. In net this season features three new goalies including Calijah Hunter, Parker Remelius and  Brett Zloto.

Scouting West Virginia: The Mountaineers are coming off a weekend sweep by West Chester last weekend losing 7-4 on Friday night and 4-0 on Saturday afternoon. Up front Jake Moleski has scored three goals and one assist. Forward Ashton Adamek has one assist, and forward Wyatt Murphy has one goal.  On the blueline the Mountaineers feature Hans Watson with three assists last weekend. Defenseman Justin Hickey has scored one goal. In net Jacob Hough (1-1-0) has a 3.01 goals against average and a save percentage of 94%

New Bench Boss: Head coach Sean Parker makes his debut for Oakland. Parker previously served as an assistant coach for Grand Valley State University. He will be joined by assistant coach Andrew Van Dongen.
