2008-2009 ACHA Men's Division 1 Pre-Season Ranking
UNION LAKE, MI - The defending ACHA Men's Division 1 National Champions, the University of Illinois, received 25 of a possible 28 votes to come in as this years pick for the top spot in the 2008-2009 M1 Pre-Season Ranking. Lindenwood University, Runners-Up in 2007-2008, received the other 3 first place votes and held onto the #2 spot.
The first ranking of the regular season will be released on Friday, October 10.
On October 10-12, sixteen Men's Division 1 teams will take part in the 6th Annual ACHA Men's Division 1 Showcase at Ice Line in West Chester, PA. Tickets will be available at the door. For further information, go to www.achahockey.org
The 2009 ACHA Men's Division 1 National Championships will be hosted by John Carroll University and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and will take place March 14-18, 2009 at the Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, OH. Sixteen teams will qualify for the tournament.
